Troy, head gardener at Iford Manor was previously the head gardener at Sissinghurst Castle, one of the world’s most romantic rose gardens. Using many of the roses that he grew there over his 12 years, he will advise on selecting and growing old fashioned roses for the garden. This will include laying out a rose garden, how to deal with rose replanting, common problems including pests and diseases, companion plants, feeding, growing roses up trees, how to prune, and caring for specific rose structures. It also includes a long list of all the roses that Vita Sackville-West grew at Sissinghurst. Full of practical tips along with inspirational ideas for roses to enjoy and grow well.
