Renee Kemmerer & Kozio Izumi – Woodland Wonders

Woodland planting – from Japan and the United States – Koyou Izumi and Renee Kemmerer

Spring-flowering woodland plants are amongst the choicest of garden plants: often slow-growing but immensely rewarding when they become established and spread. Eastern North America and the Far East have particularly rich and gorgeous woodland floras, which are in fact very closely-related but long separated by continental drift. Today we start with a wonderful film about the restoration of a woodland flora in Hokkaido, Japan, and then move to Mt. Cuba Center, a native plant garden in Delaware to join Renee Kemmerer who will tell us about how to make the most of these exquisite plants.
