Allyson Levy and Scott Serrano run Hortus Arboretum in upstate New York. Unusually for a botanic garden it is privately run, as a non-institutional not-for-profit foundation, aiming to conserve a wide range of native and non-native plant species that flourish in the Hudson Valley.
